  • Repairs That Hold Up

Every repair is backed by our warranty. Whether it’s a heating element or control issue, the job is done properly so you don’t deal with the same problem again.

  • Fully Insured Service

We are WSIB registered and fully insured, giving you peace of mind that your home and appliance are protected during every service visit.

  • Clear Pricing Before We Start

After diagnosis, you get a full quote for parts and labour. No surprises, no pressure — just a clear decision on whether the repair makes sense.

  • Fast Scheduling from Local Hubs

Our technicians already service your area daily, which allows for faster booking and, in many cases, same-day or next-day repair.

  • Straightforward Recommendations

If the repair isn’t worth it, we’ll tell you. Our goal is to give you the right answer based on the condition of the appliance — not to push unnecessary work.

I called Pegasus on a Thursday evening and they booked me an appointment for the next day. On Friday I was given a time and was surprised that Emil arrived on time. You don't see that very often. He was very respectful of myself and my flooring. Boots off at the door. Told me what was wrong with the stove oven. He searched and found me the best price for the needed part. Now I'm happily back to baking. Thanks to Emil and the knowledgeable staff at Pegasus.

Our oven stopped working over the weekend. We called on Monday and had a technician at our home that same day. Igor did a thorough check of the stove and gave us an estimate on the repair. We needed to wait for the part to come in but as soon as it was in, Igor called and our oven was fixed in less than an hour. Great work!!

I have a built in dual oven and the lower one isn’t working. Had someone look at it before and they said it was the main relay board. Given it’s age, the part is discontinued. Found a company that can repair these boards. So I called Pegasus to send a tech to take the board out so I can send it for repair. Emil (the tech) arrived within the agreed time frame, but still he apologized for not coming earlier. This was very impressive. I told him what I needed from him, but he went above and beyond and actually reviewed and tested all the oven parts and surprisingly found that the defect was not in the relay board but in another part, which he managed to fix. We tested the oven and viola, it worked ! Emil worked very hard for over two hours. He went above and beyond and definitely exceeded my expectations. I am very happy and satisfied. I would recommend him and the company without hesitation.

I had an excellent experience with Pegasus Appliance Repair! They were very quick to send someone to come and inspect the issues I had with my dishwasher and the oven of my stove range. My technician, Emil, was very professional, honest, and knowledgeable and he returned within the week to fix them. He taught me a little bit about my other appliances too and gave me some tips about them. My appliances work perfectly and I am extremely happy with his work! Thank you so much, Emil!

Fantastic. I called them on a Friday afternoon to help with a broken oven. They set an appointment for the next day, Saturday morning. The technician came on time, found the problem, had the replacement part, and completed the job neatly. The oven works great again. (I waited a couple weeks to be able to surely say that.)

Appliance Services has repaired our refrigerator, dishwasher, oven, and dryer with great service for over ten years in Burlington, Ontario. Their knowledgeable and friendly staff show up when they say they will and work to provide fairly priced repairs and honest advice. The last time my Refrigerator stopped working on Oct 13, 2023. The repairman came out on a Friday, tried one thing. Had to come back on Sat morning, replaced a part; still no go. Came back twice more over the next couple days. Only charged for one appliance repair service call, and the parts. Very fair & honest. I highly recommend Pegasus, their company is fast, friendly, efficient repair on my Samsung refrigerator. Call them for any appliance repair, they are the best they have also fixed my washing machine, dryer, oven, dishwasher, and stove over the years.

Oven Maintenance Tips

A few simple habits can prevent most common oven issues like uneven heating, slow preheat, or premature part failure. These are the same things we recommend to customers after a repair:

  • Keep the interior clean (but don’t overdo self-clean)

Wipe up spills after the oven cools down. Built-up grease and food residue can affect heat distribution and cause smoke or odors.

Use the self-clean cycle sparingly. High heat during self-clean is one of the most common causes of control board and thermal fuse failures.

  • Don’t block airflow inside the oven

Avoid covering racks with foil or placing trays directly on the bottom of the oven. This disrupts airflow and can lead to uneven cooking or overheating.

  • Check the door seal (gasket)

If heat is escaping around the door, your oven will struggle to maintain temperature. Inspect the gasket for cracks, gaps, or looseness and replace it if needed.

  • Use the right cookware placement

Place food in the center of the oven whenever possible. Overloading or placing trays too close to heating elements can lead to uneven cooking and longer preheat times.

  • Keep vents and cooling areas clear

Built-in ovens rely on proper airflow for cooling. Make sure vents are not blocked and avoid storing items around or behind the unit that could restrict ventilation.

  • Watch for early warning signs

Longer preheat times, uneven baking, or temperature swings are often early signs of a failing element, sensor, or fan. Addressing these early can prevent more expensive repairs later.

Oven Repair FAQs

Here are the most common oven repair questions we get from homeowners:

  • My oven won’t turn on. How soon can you repair it?

In many cases, we can offer same-day or next-day service depending on availability. Our technician will diagnose the issue on-site and let you know the exact cost before any repair is done.

  • My oven is not heating properly. Is it worth repairing?

In most cases, yes. Issues like a failed bake element, temperature sensor, or control board are common and usually repairable. We’ll assess your oven and give you an honest recommendation based on the condition and cost.

  • How much does oven repair cost?

We charge a $99 service call for diagnosis, which is waived if you proceed with the repair. After diagnosing the issue, we provide a clear, upfront quote before any work begins.

  • Do you complete repairs on the first visit?

Many oven repairs are completed on the first visit, especially when parts are available. If a part needs to be ordered, we return to complete the repair without charging another service call.

  • Is it normal for a new oven to smell during first use?

A light burning smell during the first few uses can be normal as manufacturing residues burn off. However, strong or persistent odors, smoke, or melting smells are not normal and should be checked.

  • Do you repair gas ovens?

No, we currently service electric ovens only.

  • What is the typical lifespan of an oven?

Most electric ovens last between 10–15 years. Lifespan depends on usage, maintenance, and build quality.
