Thank you for choosing Pegasus Appliance Repair. These Terms and Conditions outline the rules, policies, and expectations when using our website and appliance repair services. By booking a service, interacting with our technicians, or using our website at pegasusappliancerepair.ca, you agree to the terms below. If you do not agree with any part of these Terms, please refrain from using our services.
Definitions
- Company / We / Us / Our: Pegasus Appliance Repair, 775 Upper Wentworth St, Unit 13, Hamilton, ON L9A 4V7.
- You / Client / Customer: Any individual or entity using our website or requesting our appliance repair services.
- Service: Appliance repair services performed at a customer’s home and the use of our website.

Service Call Charges & Policy
- When booking a service call, the customer or an adult representative (18+) must be present for the entire appointment window and able to approve charges and submit payment.
- The standard diagnostic / service call fee is $99 + HST. This fee covers the technician’s time, travel, and full diagnostic inspection.
- The service call fee is non-refundable.
- If you approve the repair after diagnosis, the $99 service call fee is waived and applied toward the cost of the repair.
- Each service request is considered a separate order, even if booked on the same day or at the same address. Discounts may be offered at our discretion for multiple repairs at the same property.
- Some repairs require moving appliances. While technicians use caution, the customer acknowledges that Pegasus Appliance Repair is not responsible for any scratches or damage to floors, walls, cabinetry, trim, or surrounding surfaces.
Payments, Late Fees & Collections
- Payment is due on the date service is completed, unless otherwise agreed to in writing.
- Payment may be made by available payment methods shown on your invoice (including online payment link, credit card, debit, or e-transfer where applicable).
- If payment is not received, we may contact you by phone, email, and/or text message using the contact details provided at the time of booking.
- Invoices that remain unpaid after 5 calendar days may be subject to late interest of 2% per month (24% per year), calculated on the outstanding balance.
- Invoices that remain unpaid after 14 calendar days may be subject to an additional administrative fee of $25 to cover billing and follow-up costs.
- Invoices that remain unpaid after 30 days may be forwarded to a third-party collection agency.
- Pegasus Appliance Repair reserves the right to suspend warranty service, future appointments, and further work until any outstanding balances are paid in full.
Previously Disassembled or Altered Appliances
- If, upon arrival, our technician determines that an appliance has been previously disassembled, altered, repaired, or modified by the customer or a third party, Pegasus Appliance Repair reserves the right to decline further diagnostics or repair.
- We do not proceed with service in these situations because we cannot verify what work was previously performed, whether parts were installed correctly, or whether the appliance remains safe to operate.
- For safety, reliability, and liability reasons, we cannot guarantee diagnostics, repairs, or outcomes on appliances that have been previously tampered with.
- In such cases, the service call / diagnostic fee remains applicable and non-refundable, as the technician’s time, travel, and assessment have already been provided.
Cancellation Policy
- Cancellations must be made at least 3 business hours before the appointment window. For example, an appointment between 12 PM–2 PM must be canceled before 9 AM.
- Same-day bookings (made within three hours of the appointment window) must be canceled within 1 hour of booking.
- Cancellations must be made by speaking with a live agent. Voicemails or missed calls are not accepted as cancellation notices.
- Failure to comply with this policy will result in the full service call rate being charged (99 + HST).
Refund Policy
- Service call fees are non-refundable under any circumstances.
- You pay for the repair only if it resolves the diagnosed issue. If a repair ultimately cannot be completed after all technician visits, labour fees may be refunded at the technician’s discretion.
- Refunds for parts depend on the Ordering Parts Policy below and vary based on supplier rules, condition of the part, and whether it was installed or opened.
Ordering Parts & Deposits
- Some repairs require ordering parts specifically for your appliance. When necessary, a deposit (up to 50%) may be required before placing the order.
- If you cancel the repair after parts have been ordered but before installation, we will attempt to return the part to the supplier. Refunds depend entirely on supplier rules and may include restocking and shipping fees.
- Unopened parts may be eligible for full, partial, or no refund depending on the supplier. We will advise you of the applicable rules if cancellation occurs.
- Once a part is installed, it is considered used and cannot be returned or refunded except as covered by manufacturer warranty.
- If Pegasus Appliance Repair diagnoses the issue and orders the part, we take responsibility for ensuring the correct part is installed. If the part does not resolve the issue, we continue diagnosis and correct the repair without additional part charges. Additional labour may apply depending on findings.
- Unless you request otherwise at the appointment, technicians may remove old parts for recycling.
- Pegasus Appliance Repair guarantees only parts that we supply and install, and only for the warranty term printed on the invoice.
Customer-Supplied Parts
- Installation of customer-supplied parts is performed at the technician’s discretion. We may refuse installation for safety, compatibility, or reliability reasons.
- We provide no warranty on customer-supplied parts.
- If Pegasus Appliance Repair performs the diagnosis and you choose to supply your own part, we may offer a labour-only warranty for the installation, provided the part exactly matches the technician’s recommendation.
- If you request installation of a customer-supplied part without diagnosis, no labour or performance warranty is provided.
- We do not provide reimbursement or credit for customer-purchased parts—even if defective, incorrect, or unsuccessful.
Warranty
- Labour performed by Pegasus Appliance Repair is covered by a 30-day warranty unless otherwise stated on the invoice.
- Parts warranty is provided according to the manufacturer’s policy.
- There is no warranty on customer-supplied parts, diagnosis-only visits, or declined repairs.
- Pegasus Appliance Repair is not responsible for food loss, water damage, or property damage related to appliance movement.
