Pegasus Appliance Repair Stands Behind Our Work — Guaranteed

We take pride in providing reliable, professional appliance repair. The following warranty outlines what is covered, what is excluded, and how our guarantees apply depending on the repair, part type, and usage conditions.

Standard Warranty Coverage

Pegasus Appliance Repair provides a limited warranty on parts and labour for repairs we diagnose and complete. Warranty length depends on the appliance, part type, and manufacturer availability.

  • Labour Warranty: 30 days on labour for most standard residential repairs.
  • Parts Warranty: All parts supplied and installed by Pegasus Appliance Repair carry the manufacturer’s warranty (typically 30 days to 1 year depending on the part and manufacturer).
  • Premium Repairs: Certain high-end or sealed-system repairs (e.g., Sub-Zero, built-in refrigeration) may include an extended labour warranty of up to 1 year. Warranty length will be listed on your invoice.

If the appliance experiences the same problem related to the original repair within the warranty period, we will return at no charge to determine the cause. If the issue is directly related to the original repair or part replaced, it will be corrected at no additional cost.

IMPORTANT: If a new or unrelated issue is discovered, a new diagnostic/service call fee will apply.

Manufacturer Parts Warranty

Parts installed by Pegasus Appliance Repair are warranted to perform properly under normal household usage. If a manufacturer-supplied part fails during its warranty period, Pegasus Appliance Repair will replace the part according to the manufacturer’s warranty terms. Labour coverage for installing warranty parts depends on your invoice and warranty type.

  • Single-family homes: Up to 1 year on most parts + 30 days labour.
  • Rental units, commercial properties, or multi-family use: 30 days parts and labour.

Parts No Longer Available

If a manufacturer discontinues a part needed for warranty replacement, the warranty obligation ends when the part becomes unavailable.

Exclusions (Not Covered Under Any Warranty)

The following are NOT covered under this warranty:

  • Water filters, cosmetic or non-functional components (e.g., glass, trim, knobs, racks, shelves)
  • Damage caused by customer misuse, improper installation, rodent/insect activity, flooding, fire, or electrical issues
  • Food loss due to appliance failure
  • Damage to floors, walls, countertops, cabinets, or surrounding surfaces while moving an appliance (customers acknowledge this risk when service is booked)
  • Repairs done using customer-supplied parts (see Customer-Supplied Parts section below)
  • Maintenance or cleaning services (no warranty on cleaning, unclogging, or preventative services)
  • Any work performed outside normal business hours unless stated on the invoice

Warranty applies only to the parts and labour listed on your invoice. Other components of the appliance are not covered.

Customer-Supplied Parts (No Warranty)

  • We do not provide warranty on any part supplied by the customer.
  • If we diagnose the problem and you choose to purchase your own part, we may provide a labour-only warranty on the installation — but only if the part matches our recommended specifications exactly.
  • If you request installation of a part without allowing us to diagnose the appliance, no labour or outcome warranty is provided.
  • No reimbursement or credit is provided if a customer-supplied part fails, is incorrect, defective, or does not resolve the issue.

Warranty Cancellation

Your warranty may be voided if:

  • Any balance or invoice remains unpaid after 30 days
  • A payment method is declined or a cheque is returned
  • Another company or the customer performs any work on the appliance after our repair
  • Customer tampers with the appliance or part after installation

ANY WORK PERFORMED ON THE APPLIANCE BY THE CUSTOMER OR ANOTHER COMPANY AUTOMATICALLY VOIDS ALL WARRANTIES.
