Why is my Frigidaire refrigerator not cooling properly?
The usual causes, roughly in order: dirty condenser coils, a failed evaporator or condenser fan, a defrost system fault icing over the evaporator, a bad start relay, or — least often — a sealed-system leak or compressor. Cleaning the coils is a fair first step, but a fridge that keeps warming up needs proper diagnosis. What do SY CF, SY EF or SY CE mean on my Frigidaire fridge?
These are the Frigidaire/Electrolux fridge diagnostic codes. SY CF is a communication failure between the main board and the display or user interface. SY EF means the evaporator fan isn’t running or isn’t reporting speed. SY CE is a general communication error between boards. All three point at the electronic control system rather than the cooling system, and the fix is usually a fan motor, a wiring connection or one of the boards — not a compressor.

Why did my Frigidaire ice maker stop making ice?
Frigidaire ice makers are one of the most frequent complaints we see. Common causes are a frozen fill tube, a failed water inlet valve, a weak or clogged water filter restricting flow, or the ice maker module itself. On French-door models with the ice maker in the door, the auger motor and the door-mounted heater also fail. Most of these are single-part repairs done in one visit.

What do i20, i30 or iF0 mean on a Frigidaire dishwasher?
i20 (and i40) is a drain fault — a clogged filter, kinked hose or a drain pump that’s stopped. i30 means water in the base pan has triggered the leak sensor; the dishwasher will run the drain pump until the pan is dry, and the leak has to be found before it will cycle normally. iF0 is a fill timeout, usually the inlet valve or float switch. A dishwasher that stops mid-cycle with no code is more often a heater, door latch or control fault.

Why won’t my Frigidaire washer spin or drain?
On front-loaders, E20 or E21 is a drain timeout and the fix is usually the coin-trap filter behind the lower front panel. E40 or E41 means the door lock never registered closed. On top-loaders, a failed lid lock, a worn drive belt or an unbalanced load will stop the spin. We inspect the full drain path and the lock before replacing anything.

Why is my Frigidaire dryer running but not heating?
Most often a thermal fuse or high-limit thermostat has opened because of restricted airflow, or the heating element has broken. E64 on the display points directly at the element or its wiring. Whatever the failed part, we clean the internal lint path and check the vent on the same visit — a restricted vent is what blew the fuse and will do it again.

What do F10, F11 or F30 mean on my Frigidaire range or oven?
F10 is a runaway-temperature fault — the oven sensed heat it didn’t call for, usually a failed temperature sensor (RTD) or a relay stuck closed on the control board. F11 is a stuck or shorted key on the touch panel. F30 or F31 means the oven temperature sensor reads open or shorted. Is it worth repairing an older Frigidaire appliance?
Usually. Frigidaire is a mid-range brand where most failures are single inexpensive parts — fans, relays, valves, elements, sensors. Repair almost always beats replacement unless it’s a sealed-system failure on a basic freestanding fridge, or a control board on a unit near the end of its life. We’ll tell you which before any work starts.

Whenever available, we use genuine OEM Frigidaire parts sourced through Canadian suppliers. Frigidaire is part of the Electrolux group, so parts availability is good and most components arrive within days. If an original part is discontinued, we’ll discuss suitable alternatives with you before proceeding.
