1980’s Sub-Zero Cooling System Replacement
This original 1980’s Sub-Zero built-in refrigerator had reached the end of its sealed-system life. Cooling performance declined and temperatures became unreliable.
Issue
The unit was no longer maintaining proper temperatures due to sealed-system failure and reduced cooling performance.
The Challenge
Because this is a built-in Sub-Zero, replacement often involves cabinetry modifications, higher overall cost, and longer downtime. Restoring the unit was the better option.
Repair Performed
We completed a full cooling system replacement, including key sealed-system components. The system was rebuilt, pressure-tested, evacuated, and charged to specification to restore proper performance.
- Sealed-system components replaced as required
- System pressure-tested and leak-checked
- Evacuated and charged to specification
- Cooling performance verified after repair
Result
Stable, reliable cooling was restored and confirmed. The customer avoided replacing a high-end built-in refrigerator and extended the life of a classic Sub-Zero.
