Slide-In Bosch Oven Temperature Issue Repaired
This slide-in oven repair came through our Toronto appliance repair team. The homeowner contacted us after their Bosch slide-in oven had been heating inconsistently for several weeks — it would sometimes reach temperature, but other times it would stay 75–100°F below the set point, making reliable cooking impossible.
The unit had to be pulled from the cabinet for proper diagnosis and repair.
Issue – Oven Not Reaching Proper Temperature
The oven would heat intermittently and never stabilize at the correct temperature. Sometimes it would get close, other times it would stay far too cool for any real baking or roasting. The customer had already tried basic troubleshooting with no improvement.
Diagnosis
Once the oven was safely removed, our technician tested the heating elements and convection fan — both were functioning normally. The issue turned out to be a sticking relay on the relay control board. This caused the heating circuit to cut out prematurely or not engage consistently, exactly matching the intermittent low-temperature symptoms.
Repair Performed
We replaced the faulty relay control board with a new OEM-equivalent part. After reassembly and testing through multiple full cycles, the oven now heats quickly and holds temperature accurately again.
- Removed slide-in oven from cabinet for full access
- Confirmed heating elements and fan were working
- Diagnosed stuck relay on control board
- Replaced relay control board
- Reinstalled and tested oven through multiple cycles
Result
The oven now reaches and maintains the correct temperature reliably. The homeowner can cook with confidence again without worrying about undercooked meals or wasted time.
