Bosch Dishwasher E15 Error Repair in London, ON – Leaking Water Inlet Valve

This Bosch dishwasher repair was completed by our London appliance repair team after a customer reported that their dishwasher had stopped operating and was displaying an E15 error code.

Although the appliance would still power on, the error prevented normal operation. Naturally, the customer was concerned that the dishwasher might require a major repair or even replacement.

  • Bosch dishwasher displaying E15 error code
  • Leaking Bosch dishwasher water inlet valve
  • Bosch dishwasher water inlet valve replacement
  • Bosch dishwasher model number identification

Diagnosis revealed a leaking water inlet valve that had triggered the dishwasher’s flood protection system and caused the E15 error code.

Issue – Bosch Dishwasher Showing E15 Error

The E15 error code is one of the most common faults found on Bosch dishwashers. In most cases, it means water has collected in the base of the appliance and activated the built-in flood protection system.

Once this occurs, the dishwasher may stop operating normally and continuously run the drain pump to help prevent water damage.

Many homeowners assume the error code itself is the problem. However, E15 is usually a warning that water has been detected where it shouldn’t be. The real challenge is identifying where the leak is coming from.

Diagnosis

To begin the diagnosis, our technician inspected the dishwasher for visible signs of leakage and checked several common failure points.

After removing the necessary panels and performing a series of tests, we discovered that the water inlet valve was leaking. Over time, water was slowly accumulating in the base of the dishwasher and eventually triggered the E15 error.

To ensure a complete repair, additional testing was performed on surrounding components and connections. Fortunately, no secondary issues were found and the inlet valve was confirmed as the root cause of the problem.

  • Confirmed Bosch E15 error code
  • Inspected dishwasher base for water accumulation
  • Located the source of the leak
  • Diagnosed a faulty water inlet valve
  • Verified no secondary leaks were present

Repair Performed

Once the faulty component was identified, the replacement water inlet valve was sourced and installed.

After installation, the flood protection system was reset and the dishwasher was tested through multiple operating cycles to verify proper performance.

  • Removed the defective water inlet valve
  • Installed a new replacement valve
  • Removed water from the dishwasher base
  • Reset the flood protection system
  • Tested the dishwasher through multiple cycles
  • Verified leak-free operation

Result

Following the repair, the dishwasher returned to normal operation and the E15 error code did not return.

Most importantly, the leak was eliminated at its source rather than simply clearing the error code. The customer was able to resume normal use of the appliance without leaks, interruptions, or recurring fault messages.

This repair highlights why proper diagnosis matters. While Bosch E15 errors are common, the underlying cause can vary significantly from one dishwasher to another.
