Fixed a noisy fan on a Frigidaire Gallery Fridge. Pegasus promptly visited that day, diagnosed the problem and returned 4 days later with the part. He was thorough in the assessment of the problem.

My electric stove heater replacement unit installation was very easy and straightforward. Inspection occurred a couple of days before the replacement process. The problem was identified and repair was scheduled from there. It only took about 30-40 min of work. Would recommend them for home appliance issues.

Dan came on time for my oven repair and quickly assessed a burnt control panel, gave me a cost to replace it and upon agreeing to it he went and picked it up and replaced it in no time. All very efficient and professional.

Would highly recommend Pegasus Appliance Repair. We were having problems with our GE stackable dryer and put in a request on Homestars. Pegasus was the first to respond, and after reading reviews and doing some research, I selected them to set up an appointment. Within 24 hours we had a technician (Dan) come to the house (with mask & gloves) & access the issue. Dan advised us of the potential problem, cost and fixed it within an hour. He was friendly and efficient. We will be sure to contact Pegasus again should we have any appliance issues in the future! Thank you Homestars! Thank you Pegasus!

– Nycks in Mississauga, ON

Had an issue with our dishwasher not pumping out the water…of course on the weekend. I reached out to HomeStars and Pegasus responded very right away. Dmitry was able to come the next day and fixed the issue quickly and efficiently. Would use them again without hesitation.

KitchenAid Appliance Repair FAQs

Here are the questions KitchenAid owners in Southern Ontario ask us most, with straight answers from our technicians:

  • Why is the Clean light blinking on my KitchenAid dishwasher?

A Clean light that flashes in a repeating pattern is KitchenAid’s error code. Seven blinks is the one we see most: the control didn’t detect the water heating, which points to the heating element, its thermistor, or the relay on the control board. Four blinks is a wash motor fault. If the dishwasher runs but leaves dishes dirty or wet, the diverter motor or a failed circulation pump are the usual causes. A dishwasher that fills and hums but never sprays has a seized wash motor — common on older KitchenAid units and still worth repairing.

  • Why is food freezing in the fresh-food section of my KitchenAid fridge?

On KitchenAid French-door and side-by-side models, this is almost always a damper stuck open, a bad thermistor telling the board the fridge is warmer than it is, or a control board fault — not a thermostat setting. The opposite symptom, fridge warm with freezer fine, is usually the evaporator fan, a defrost failure or the same damper stuck closed. Both are diagnosed with a meter, not by turning the dial.

  • Why did my KitchenAid ice maker stop working?

In-door ice makers on KitchenAid French-door fridges are a frequent call. Typical causes are a failed water inlet valve, a frozen fill tube, a clogged or overdue water filter restricting flow, the ice maker module, or the door-mounted auger motor. Check the filter and the freezer temperature first; if the ice maker still won’t cycle, the module or valve needs testing.

  • What do F2E0, F1E0 or PF mean on my KitchenAid oven or range?

F2E0 is a stuck or shorted key on the touch panel — one of the most common KitchenAid oven faults, and on many models the panel is separate from the control board so it’s a cheaper fix than it sounds. F1E0 is a control board fault. F3E0 or F3E1 is the oven temperature sensor reading open or shorted; the sensor is inexpensive and we test it first. PF just means a power failure occurred and is cleared by pressing Cancel. A KitchenAid wall oven or range that heats unevenly usually has a failed bake or convection element, not a board.

  • Do you repair KitchenAid built-in refrigerators and wall ovens?

Yes. Built-in and panel-ready KitchenAid units — the 42″ and 48″ built-in fridges, double wall ovens, built-in microwave-oven combos and warming drawers — are a regular part of our work, especially in Oakville, Vaughan and the GTA. These are always worth repairing because replacing them means matching cabinetry. We’re ODP certified for sealed-system work if a built-in fridge needs it.

  • Are KitchenAid parts readily available?

Yes. KitchenAid is a Whirlpool brand, and Whirlpool has the deepest parts distribution in Canada. Our vans carry common KitchenAid dishwasher elements, thermistors, diverter motors and fridge fan motors. Boards, panels and door components ship in a few days by your exact model number, and we return to install them with no second service call fee.

  • Do you repair KitchenAid stand mixers or small appliances?

No. We service major appliances only — KitchenAid refrigerators, dishwashers, ranges, wall ovens, cooktops, microwaves and range hoods. For stand mixers, blenders and other countertop products, contact KitchenAid directly for their authorized small-appliance service centres.

  • My KitchenAid is under manufacturer warranty. Should I call you?

Call KitchenAid (Whirlpool Canada) first. Warranty repairs must go through an authorized servicer or the manufacturer voids coverage. Pegasus is an independent repair company and handles out-of-warranty service. Once your warranty has ended, we’re usually faster to schedule than the authorized network.

  • Do you repair KitchenAid appliances in my area?

Yes. We provide KitchenAid appliance repair across Southern Ontario from ten local hubs — Hamilton, Toronto, Mississauga, Vaughan, Oakville, Burlington, Brantford, Kitchener-Waterloo, London and Niagara. See our full service area.
