No. Pegasus Appliance Repair is an independent appliance repair company. We are not affiliated with, authorized by, or endorsed by Miele. We provide out-of-warranty service to homeowners across Southern Ontario based on real-world repair experience with Miele appliances.

Do you perform Miele warranty repairs?
No. We don’t do warranty work for any brand. If your Miele appliance is still under warranty, contact Miele Canada directly or a Miele-authorized service provider; using an independent for a warranty repair may void your coverage. Once your warranty has ended, we’re often faster to schedule than the authorized network.

What do F11, F12, F13 and F24 mean on a Miele dishwasher?
F11 is a drain fault — the dishwasher couldn’t pump out. Check and clean the filter and the non-return valve first; if F11 comes back, the drain pump has failed. F12 and F13 are water intake faults — F12 means water didn’t arrive (tap, hose, inlet valve), F13 means it arrived too slowly or the flow meter didn’t register. F24 is a heater relay fault on the control board, which shows up as dishes not drying or a cycle that stalls. F51 and F52 are pressure sensor faults, and F53 is the circulation pump speed sensor. The F1x codes are usually simple; F24 and F5x need a technician.

What do F11, F53 and F63 mean on a Miele washing machine?
F11 is the same drain fault as on the dishwasher — clean the drain filter behind the lower door first. F53 is a motor speed-sensor fault: the control lost track of drum speed, which points at the tachometer or the motor control electronics. F63 is a water-path switching fault, usually the diverter that directs water to the detergent drawer. A Miele washer that stops with the door locked and no code often has a failed door lock or a pressure switch problem. All are proper repairs, not resets.

My Miele says “Check water intake” or “Check drainage” but the hoses look fine. Why?
This is the most common Miele call we get. “Check water intake” with the tap open usually means the flow meter isn’t seeing enough flow — a partly blocked inlet filter, low household pressure, or a failing inlet valve. On models with a Waterproof System (WPS) inlet hose, the valve is inside the hose end and can fail on its own. “Check drainage” with a clean filter usually means the drain pump impeller is obstructed or the pump is failing. Both need the actual component tested rather than another reset.

Why is my Miele dryer taking too long or stopping early?
Miele heat pump and condenser dryers depend on airflow through a condenser and a fine-lint filter that most owners never clean. A blocked condenser, a full condensate container, or a clogged condensate drain will stop the cycle or leave clothes damp. After those, the moisture sensor or a temperature sensor is the usual cause. These dryers run cooler than vented dryers by design, so long cycles alone aren’t a fault — wet clothes after a full cycle are.

Are Miele appliances expensive to repair?
Parts cost more than mass-market brands because they’re built to a higher standard, and Miele’s electronics are model-specific. The labour is no different from any other appliance. In most cases repair is still far more cost-effective than replacing a Miele, and we quote the full job before any work starts.

Is it worth repairing a Miele appliance?
Almost always. Miele appliances are engineered for a service life well beyond most brands, and the typical failures — pumps, valves, sensors, door locks, heater relays — are single components on an otherwise sound machine. The rare exceptions are a main control board on a very old unit where the board is discontinued, or a sealed-system failure on a refrigerator. We’ll tell you before any work starts.

Miele parts are rarely stocked on the van because they’re model-specific, so most Miele repairs are a diagnostic visit followed by a return visit to install the part, with no second service call fee.

Miele designs and tests its appliances for a 20-year service life, which is roughly double what most brands target. Over that span individual components will fail, and that’s when repair — rather than replacement — makes sense.
